1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PlayMate ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of PlayMate, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PlayMate only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Upload viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Collect user information without consent
• Use automated systems or bots to access the Service
• Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation or business

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on PlayMate ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that:

• You own or have the right to use the content you post
• Your content does not infringe any third-party rights
• Your content complies with our Community Guidelines

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

5. Games and Matchmaking

PlayMate facilitates connections between sports enthusiasts. When using our game scheduling and matchmaking features:

• You are responsible for your own safety when meeting other users
• Meet in public places and inform others of your plans
• PlayMate is not responsible for the conduct of any user
• You assume all risks associated with participating in sports activities
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided skill levels

6. Groups and Communities

Group creators and administrators are responsible for:

• Setting and enforcing appropriate group rules
• Ensuring group activities comply with these Terms
• Removing members who violate group or platform rules
• Accurate representation of the group's purpose and activities

We may remove groups or revoke administrative privileges for violations of these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of PlayMate and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

• Breach of these Terms
• Violation of our Community Guidelines
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Extended period of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES ABOUT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR QUALITY OF ANY CONTENT, INFORMATION, OR SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLAYMATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PlayMate and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration association. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PlayMate operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
